The UP Social Club was founded for people with an intellectual disability who are looking for a challenging job. Located in the Rotterdam area the club offers a safe haven for the Uppers to work and participate in activities.

Work is not an end in itself, but it is a process that helps them with self-development, integration, and social participation in society. This entire process is supported daily by sports and relaxation activities. All under the professional guidance of a super enthusiastic team of volunteers.

Out of that ideology the UP Shoewear brand was created, to offer real life working experience and participation in a start-up business. For the Uppers this brings a lot of pride and sense of responsibility for the brand and products.

The UP Social Club also houses an UP-shoewear store, where they are more than happy to help you find your new most comfortable shoes. Not only will you leave with a smile from the great service, you’ll also be participating in keeping the wheels of the Social Club turning as a part of the proceeds will go directly to the Club.

Next to sales, the Uppers are involved throughout the entire process of product creation and marketing. They participate in creative sessions to help guide us with colouring of the new seasonal range and inspire us for photoshoots and marketing campaigns. So keep an eye out for our social channels!
